I received my Bachelor's degree in physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2020, I received my Ph.D. in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University. Wisconsin has been my home since the summer of 2020, providing me with abundant opportunities to explore the diverse landscapes of the Midwest and delve into the region's fascinating geological history. I am currently a NASA Hubble Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a joint affiliation with the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research, where I work closely with Andrew Vanderburg's exoplanet research team. Next fall, I will begin a joint tenure-track faculty appointment in the Departments of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My personal background is rooted in a first-generation college experience, being the daughter of an immigrant family that migrated from the Povoação and Nordeste municipalities of São Miguel, Azores in 1966. My hobbies include photography, gardening, and amassing a collection of rare astronomy textbooks. Our family recently adopted Murphy and Lily Belle, two energetic golden retrievers that enjoy off-leash hiking and snacks.
